Disk Care: Drive Space Cleaner App Reviews

I thought this would be useful to find harder to locate files that could/should be deleted, and at $2 I figured it was probably worth at least $2 and my time. Well, considering I wasted $1.79 on a candy bar the same day at the grocery store, I’m not too upset about losing $2; however, I wish I didn’t spend much time with this. I even ran it a second and a third time thinking maybe I would find an “expert mode” or similar power feature. Case in point, the “About this Mac” storage info will give you more details on the use of your storage — especially something like Backups (Time Machine local snap shots), which on my machine is currently 102.86 GB on my 500 GB SSD (big deal to me). Disk app should make users aware of things like that, even if it doesn’t offer solutions.

I should have read the reviews before I spent 2 $ on this app. Completely useless, no directions, I am deleting it now. Don’t waste your time.

Complete waste of money. I have 83 GB of a 105 GB partition being eaten up by something. This app doesn’t show where ANY of that harddrive usage is coming from. Save your money, just delete your web cache, trash bin, and downloads and you’d be doing more than this app can.

THIS APP IS AWESOME! I freed up 30gb in maybe 3 minutes. Got rid of a bunch of junk! THANK YOU!

I have to say that to date I have had no issues with running this app. It’s pretty amazing how fast it work and where the heck it finds all this available space or more preciously items that can be deleted and space that can be reacquired.

I have used this app for a couple of years. It’s always worked flawlessly and provides a much needed service… cleaning off all the useless crap which takes up space. I emailed with a question regarding the recent update & recied a friendly & helpful reply literally within minutes.

Helped me clear up a half dozen gigs in a snap - Beautiful interface, super easy to use! Would highly recommend!

I love this app’s simplicity, speed and ease of use. I use it almost daily. I give it 5 stars for performance. The original icon design was sleek and memorable. The new icon is poorly designed, horribly outdated and flat-out ugly. I’m almost willing to change to a competitor to avoid seeing it in my Launchpad. Please change it back!

Easy to use and much faster than doing it by hand

I am a long time Mac user, at eighteen I was excited about how incredible the jump to MacOS 7 was. Given the complexity of Unix and MacOS 10, I’ve always been skeptical of Disk cleaner apps, but Its About Time seems to have done a really great job on this app. Its simple and gives you clear feedback on the kinds of data it can help you locate and clear out. I’m running 10.11.2 Beta at the moment and it easily identified 20GB of stupid stuff on my MBPro. So with a smaller flash HD, that was huge. Please support a developer like this, so they can keep up with the pace of Apple development. Oh, and I gave it only 4 stars, because is anything perfect? That’s the skeptic part of me. :)

First run of it saved me 11+ GB Love this app!

OLD REVIEW:Honestly I use this app all the time and it does what it says, and it does it great. I will be switching back to the old flat icon though, just a personal preference. NEW REVIEW: Still love the app as the old review says. Love the clean new icon and name.

New version just does nor work. Ask for a home button (??), I select any directory and nothing happens. Dont buy it.

I should probably use the app more than I do. It works great and is very simple to use.

As IT professional, i must say that i do not like many of these apps because they are always confusing and information is quite lacking…. the normal way of my freeing space is just browse and delete.. with this..app is just very convenient… 5 stars are won. rare for me.. but they did it right. Seriously I don’t know why this app isn’t part of the OS. It’s so freaking easy to use and it does wonders for clearing space on your HD. Everyone should have this app installed on their computers. Everyone!

This is one of those apps that stands alone as one of the greats. I was an avid user of CCleaner but was drawn to this app due to its awesome GUI. It’s also easy and groups the storage separately so you can easily select and unselect the types of storage you wish to clear. It’s a great way to clear your cache and trash. Hope everyone enjoys!

Easy to use and understand. I liked being able to see previews of all my huge media files to determine whether to delete them. I saved about 120 gigs on files I did not know were there or were too hard to find and identify any other way.

I just saved 31 GB!! no more to say, its a great app, it helps you clean stuffs you dont even know how to delete them
